IVO GRAHAM: NO FILTER
Album three (The Queen is Dead, OK Computer, etc) from Graham after 2014's 'joyous show' (Evening Standard), and this year there's apparently a bit more bite to the boy's bark. Can this be true? Definitely worth investigating. As seen/heard on BBC Three's Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live, and Sweat the Small Stuff; Comedy Central's Live At The Comedy Store; BBC Radio 5 live's Fighting Talk; and XFM's Josh Widdicombe show. 'Beautifully constructed comedy' (Scotsman). 'Cleverly constructed comic timing' **** (Edinburgh Evening News).
SUZI RUFFELL:
Fresh from supporting some of the UK’s top comedians on their sold out tours including Channel 4’s Chatty Man, Alan Carr, star of The Last Leg, Josh Widdicombe and Scotland’s finest, Kevin Bridges, Suzi Ruffell, is currently on the road with her hotly anticipated second show Social Chameleon. In it the ‘stand-up gem’ (The Guardian) questions why she spent twenty-seven years trying to make anyone and everyone like her. Turns outs it takes a fat bully from Swansea, a too-honest mother and searching a Parisian graveyard for someone she has never heard of to give up trying and just be herself and yes we are all hoping she hasn’t turned out to be a dickhead.
Suzi Ruffell began her stand-up career at just twenty-three years old. After only eighteen months of performing all over the UK this bright young comic from Portsmouth was nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year2011 and awarded second place in the Latitude Festival New Act Competition2011. Her debut Edinburgh show in August 2012 saw her receive rave reviews and star in BBC Three’s Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live. Since then Suzi has gone on to star in Live at the Comedy Store, LOLz Lounge, as well as numerous appearances on Radio 4 including Fresh From The Fringe.
Outside the realms of stand-up Suzi is a talented actor and writer; one of her sitcoms was nominated for a 2012 BAFTA Roclidde New Writing Awardand is currently in development. She has also written additional material for TV shows such as The Last Leg, Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats. ‘She makes you laugh – a lot…’ **** – Broadway Baby, ‘Suzi’s great. A lovely stage persona, hugely likable and definitely one to watch!’ – Time Out 'Completely won over, thoroughly enjoyable’ – British Comedy Guide ‘The gags roll off her tongue as if it was second nature’ **** – Funny Women
